Do not neglect to see the Tombazi Mansion, which houses the School of Fine Arts, the Historical Archive-Museum, located east of the port and the Merchant Marine Academy. The internationally known Greek collector Dakis Ioannou chose an old slaughterhouse to create an exhibition space called DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art. Every summer, innovative exhibits, and events with international flair attract famous visitors from all over the world. Do not forget to go up to the oldest settlement of Hydra, Kiafa, which is located at a great height above the port.
